Justin Yoon Named To The Lou Groza Award Watch List

The Lou Groza Award came out with its watch list on Wednesday afternoon and it was no shock Notre Dame senior kicker Justin Yoon made the list. 

Yoon has been a consistent weapon for the Irish over his first three seasons in South Bend. The 5-foot-10, 192-pounder is 149-for-153 (97.4%) on extra points and 42-for-52 (80.8%). 

The Nashville native will have a chance to assault the Notre Dame record books in 2018. Yoon will have his eyes set on the big record which is the record for career points. The record is held by running back Allen Pinkett with 320. Yoon will enter the season with a total of 275 points scored. 

Yoon is also just 16 field goals away from breaking Kyle Brindza’s record of 57 career field goals made.
