It was another strong game for the Notre Dame offense, but it was a different game. Things didn’t come as easy and although the numbers say it was balanced, 278 yards pass and 272 yards rushing, it was far less so than it was against Wake Forest.

This was a grind it out type of game for not only the running game, but Ian Book at quarterback. It’s a very good thing that Notre Dame showed they can be successful like this against an above average defense.
