Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly spoke on Thursday evening for the final time before the fifth-ranked Irish host Pittsburgh. 

On the injury status of defensive end Daelin Hayes:
“He’s looking great. His health is great. He’s cleared to practice and play."

On the injury status of cornerback Troy Pride Jr.:
“He’s practicing. I’d say he’s OK. He’s probably going to play, but we think we have to use Donte (Vaughn) and him.
