Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was excited to be done with Navy as his Irish moved to 8-0 with a 44-22 win over the Midshipmen on Saturday night in San Diego. 

On the health of linebacker Drue Tranquill: 
“It (X-ray) came back clean. He was out of the boot by the time he got out of the locker room today.” 

On possibility Tranquill could play next weekend against Northwestern:
“It's Drue Tranquill. He may be jogging when we get back to the hotel.
