Notre Dame fans have enjoyed the Irish’s run to a 12-0 regular season and what looks like an inevitable trip to the College Football Playoffs and so have their future players.

Several current Irish commits expressed pride and excitement in their future team’s success.

“A perfect season is a rarity and I couldn’t be more excited about my next four to five years there,” 2019 offensive line commit Quinn Carroll‍ told Irish Sports Daily. “I believe there is no better team in the country.”

The newest member of Notre Dame’s recruiting class, 2019 linebacker J.D. Bertrand‍, is fired up about his decision.

“I think it reflects the program as a whole,” he said. “The players bought in and the coaches are doing their part to prepare the players. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Irish!”

2019 offensive lineman Zeke Correll‍ is also excited to officially be a part of the program soon.

“It’s absolutely spectacular knowing I will be able to come into a playoff team and get to work for that year after year,” he said. “They’ve accomplished a perfect regular season which is incredible and, considering their schedule, quite impressive.”

Fellow 2019 offensive lineman Andrew Kristofic‍ echoed that sentiment.

“It’s awesome,” said Kristofic. “Super pumped about the season they are having and excited to see what ends up happening in the playoff.”

2020 quarterback pledge Drew Pyne‍ agrees with Correll and head coach Brian Kelly on the difficulty of navigating the regular season without a slip-up.

“Like Coach Kelly said, going 12-0 is very hard to do with the schedule they have, so it really speaks volumes to the desire and character of this team,” said Pyne.

2019 cornerback commit KJ Wallace‍ was confident about Notre Dame’s chances heading into the season.

“I think what they have accomplished this year is a direct reflection of the kind of work they put in over the course of the offseason,” he said. “I’m not surprised they made it this far.”

2020 tight end commit Kevin Bauman‍ has seen the squad get better as the season progressed, something Kelly has stressed.

“The guys have been playing great week in and week out and improving each week,” Mayer said. “The coaching staff as well as the players are proving why we are a Top 4 program.”

Fellow 2020 tight end pledge Michael Mayer‍ pointed to one critical decision as key to the season.

“I think the change in quarterbacks really changed everything,” he said. “It really shows how Brian Kelly knows what’s he’s doing. I was so glad I got to watch them to what they do this year and can’t wait to be a part of it.”

2019 safety commit Kyle Hamilton‍ is looking forward to what’s next.

“I think the team has had an awesome year so far and we’ve set ourselves up to make a great playoff run,” said Hamilton, pictured above with Wallace and Bertrand.

Jacob Lacey‍, a 2019 defensive tackle pledge, feels the same way.

“It’s extraordinary what they have done so far and now they can go show out in front of the nation,” said Lacey.

The expectations are high among the rest of the recruits as well.

“They’re going to the Natty!” 2019 cornerback commit Isaiah Rutherford said. “No doubt.”

“Notre Dame can win it all in my mind,” Carroll added.

Wallace expressed confidence as well.

“Personally, I think we got a good chance in the playoffs and could go head to head with any team,” he said.

“If they keep doing their thing, they can compete with anyone,” said Bauman.

Correll is confident as well.

“I think they have a good chance to get a ring if they play their game,” he said.

While Pyne has faith they can finish 14-0.

“Why can’t we win it all? I believe! Go Irish!☘️☘️”
