2020 Princeton (Ohio) linebacker Jaheim Thomas‍ had been to Notre Dame before but this time wasn’t like the first visit. The Irish offered the 6-foot-5, 218-pounder on December 6th and Thomas was pretty excited to get to South Bend.

“It was pretty different,” Thomas told Irish Sports Daily. “I definitely enjoyed the visit.”

The day started early for Thomas as he was able to watch film of Notre Dame's linebackers before taking in Saturday’s practice.

“When we got there, we ate and then I watched film of the linebackers,” Thomas explained. “We watched practice, and it was really intense.

“I liked how they ran the practice and how much energy the defense had. The coaches were moving around with energy too. Coach (Clark) Lea was sprinting with the linebackers.”

Lea was able to reconnect with Thomas and gave him a rundown of where he saw the Princeton star fitting into his defense.

“He was super happy I was there, and he spent a lot of time with me,” stated Thomas. “He was telling me about the plan he had for me. He sees me as an outside linebacker who can stand up.”

Thomas was joined by his teammate 2020 defensive end Darrion Henry‍ as well as fellow Cincinnati native Paris Johnson Jr.

“It was cool,” Thomas said. “I think all three of us are going to start taking our visits together now."

The Princeton standouts have many of the same offers mas.and it could be a situation where they also end up at the same place.

I think we could go to the same school," said Thomas

Following the visit, Thomas was able to hang around South Bend to spend time with the players on Saturday night.

“We got to hang out with players after the visit and spent the night there,” Thomas said. “They were cool and took us around. They showed us a lot of love.”

Up next, Thomas will take a few weeks off before heading back to Columbus to check out the new-look Buckeyes.

“I’ll probably make some visits after the dead period,” said Thomas. “Coach (Ryan) has been turning up the heat on us, so we’ll probably get up to Ohio State.”
