Notre Dame Season Review | Running Back

There were more unknowns with this position than any others on offense heading into the season. With a four game suspension to Dexter Williams to start the season, it was a wide open job with five players competing for carries.

The biggest issue with that was two of those players had never played running back before and two others were true freshmen. The lone guy who had previous experience had a grand total of 44 carries in his college career.
