The success or failure of the running game is almost placed on the shoulders of the offensive line. It’s not all on them to make things happen, but when there’s a big game game running the ball, they get credit. When a team struggles to run the ball, the O-line gets the blame.

This ignores one important element of the job they do, which is completely unfair. The job to protect the passer is just as important.
