A new relationship is often thrilling. Everything feels fresh and different. Surprises are mostly good and the unknown can be exciting. Very few people go into a new relationship with a negative outlook. People hope for the good and even if the bad shows, optimism usually wins the day.

Last year was the first December signing period breaking away from the original February signing day. Because it was different, there was some excitement around it.
