Notre Dame dipped down to Eagles Landing Christian Academy (Ga.) at the start of the Brian Kelly era when Isaac Rochell decided to commit to the Irish.

Kelly and his staff have returned to recruit 2020 athlete Justin Robinson and he’s aware of the decision Rochell made.

“It means a lot,” Robinson said of Rochell’s decision to attend Notre Dame. “He went to Notre Dame and they put him in the league. He’s starting now.”

The Irish have pushed hard for the 6-foot-4, 200-pounder to get up to South Bend and the three-star prospect will make the trip next weekend for Junior Day.

“They are a top school for me,” stated Robinson. “They really want me to come up and visit. They want me to see everything and meet all the coaches.”

Georgia is pushing for Robinson to stay in-state for school, but don’t count out Virginia as the Cavaliers made an impression during a summer visit.

“I have a good relationship with the coaches,” Robinson said of Virginia. “They are very family oriented with the players.”

As Robinson makes his way around the country on visits, he’s looking for a place who can maximize his talents on and off the field.

“I’m trying to get a feel for who will make me the best player, student and person I can be,” explained Robinson. “I don’t want to be treated like a dog while I’m there, but I want to be worked hard.”

When it comes to official visits, Robinson has a plan and will likely go the traditional route.

“I will probably take my officials at the start of football season,” said Robinson.
