6 Thoughts on a Thursday

May 2, 2019

During the 1993 season, Notre Dame finished 11-1. They ended up second in the final rankings with Lou Holtz essentially robbed of a second national championship because writers and coaches wanted to give Bobby Bowden a lifetime achievement award. (Yep, it still bothers me)

That was the year I got fully sucked into being a Notre Dame fan. I thought, “They’ll get ‘em next year.” I didn’t know that was going to be last year like that for Holtz and it would be almost twenty more years until they had another one close to it.
