WHAT TO WATCH
- RHP Austin Temple will look to get past last weekend’s performance at Florida State where he pulled after two outs in the first inning. The Seminoles tallied just one hit, but scored three runs in just five batters as Temple struggled to find the strike zone.
- The good news is Link Jarrett stated Temple had rolled his ankle the previous weekend during a workout and the graduate transfer should be back to normal this weekend.
- Notre Dame’s bullpen should be ready to go for the final two games of the series as LHP John Michael Bertrand went 8.1 innings on Friday. Bertrand finished the game giving up four hits, one run, three walks and eight strikeouts on 130 pitches to improve to 5-0 on the year.
RHP Ryan McLinksey got the final two outs on just two pitches, so he’ll be a go when needed on Saturday or Sunday.
- Fifth-year senior Spencer Myers was due for a good day the plate and got it done on Friday going 2-for-3 with a walk and RBI. Myers is now batting .203 on the year.
- Following Friday’s game, the Tigers are 16-1 when totaling at least the same amount of hits as its opponent, but Clemson is just 3-9 when outhit.
- Notre Dame is currently on a six-game winning streak, which is the second winning streak of five or more games this season.
