Tennessee defensive end Joseph Anderson is one of Notre Dame's top targets in the entire Class of 2019.
He was in South Bend for the Georgia game back in September and was blown away by the visit. He was excited about the opportunity to return to Notre Dame this weekend, but we're told he's a scratch because of illness.
This doesn't have anything to do with Anderson's interest, in fact, we're told the Irish are "at the top of the list," not necessarily the clear leaders, but absolutely among his top group.
Anderson will undoubtedly get back to Notre Dame again in the future.
