The quarterback room will head into the 2023 season as an unknown.

2021 - Tyler Buchner (Jr) 6'1 / 215 - .9684 (#11)
2021 - Ron Powlus III (Jr) 6'2 / 227 - .8126 (#133)
2022 - Steve Angeli (So) 6'2 / 211 - .8962 (#21)
2023 - Kenny Minchey (Fr) 6'1 / 205 - .9100 (#15)
2024 - CJ Carr 6'2 / 190 - .9915 (#3)

Tyler Buchner, regardless of how he performs in the Gator Bowl, is a question mark. I am still of the mindset that he is Andrew Hendrix 2.0. A talented athlete that just out-worked kids in HS with his size and effort. Can he be a pocket QB in college? Can his accuracy improve? Can he stay healthy?

Steve Angeli is a total unknown. That he couldn't get a handful of series during the year is a red flag. Let's see if he gets meaningful snaps in the bowl game (and not because Buchner is hurt!).

Kenny Minchey is a promising prospect. The #15 QB in the class of 2023. I don't anticipate he will make in impact in 2023 and I wonder if he will be with ND in a few years with CJ Carr arriving in 2024.

CJ Carr is the answer to Notre Dame fan's prayers! He is the #3 QB prospect in the class of 2024. He has given his verbal to ND and appears to be ALL-IN visiting the campus frequently and actively recruiting other ND prospects. He will arrive in time for the 2024 season.

The scuttlebutt is that Notre Dame will actively pursue a quarterback in the transfer portal. I don't have any names at this point. The transfer QB will be expected to compete for the starting job. He isn't coming here to sit behind Angeli and Minchey (I don't see Powlus as a threat either).
