Irish are in Raleigh to play NC State. Early in the 2nd quarter the Irish are down 23-22. It was 20-15 Irish at the end of the 1st quarter. One foul's been called so far. Westbeld led the Irish in scoring at the end of the 1st quarter with 7 points.

The Irish are in a 1st place tie with Duke. Duke's playing FSU in Tallahassee and getting hammered 48-32 with just over a minute left in the 3rd quarter.

Is Ebo hurt?

Where's Ebo? If she's not playing then Marshall needs to get some playing time.I with they could have a easy game and not have to play from behind.

Team has not looked great on the road this year. I know they are down some players, but they still seem a bit off playing in front of a big crowd on the road.

Hopefully they have a big 4th Q and make a big comeback. Would be great for their confidence if they do.

Tough to say that any loss is a good loss but I think they found something with Prosper leading the full court press. Allowed them to mount a strong comeback in the 4th Q on the road, just dug too big a hole in the 3rd. Also was nice to see a good contribution from Marshall, in Ebo's absence.

They need a stretch run to hopefully get a Top 4 seed. Big difference if they don't.

Tough day for the two teams tied for the top sport in the conference. FSU beat Duke 70-57 in Tallahassee. Duke and Notre Dame remain tied for first place.

Notre Dame and Duke losing is a reminder how deep and tough the ACC conference is. Notre Dame and Duke lost to ranked teams on the road. The ACC is the best women's basketball conference in the country. Other conferences have dominant teams at the top of the conference, but no conference has the depth of the ACC.

Also, the Irish drew the short straw when it comes to playing ranked conference teams on the road.
