2026 Notre Dame QB Commit Noah Grubbs Enjoys South Bend Return

For Noah Grubbs‍, last weekend’s visit to Notre Dame wasn’t really for him at all.

“It was just another weekend for me to get up here and recruit,” the 2026 Irish quarterback commit said of his return to South Bend for Junior Day.

“Obviously, I've been committed here for a while and been up here numerous times. I'm just up here to get my class started and try to be the number one class on the recruiting trail.”

The Florida signal-caller enjoyed the weekend and took advantage of the opportunity to talk to as many uncommitted visitors as possible.

“They're great athletes all around from o-line to running back to wide receiver, DB, all of them,” Grubbs said of the players he spoke to. “They're great athletes and they're great people. That's what Notre Dame needs for the number one class.

“Notre Dame doesn't just invite people who they don't really have a shot at. They invite people who are Notre Dame-worthy and they know want to be here at Notre Dame.”

Grubbs didn’t feel the need to sell anybody on Notre Dame, instead choosing to answer their questions and explain his reasoning.

“They ask me, 'What made you commit here?'” Grubbs recalled. “I just tell them, it's just everything about this school from tradition to there's no distractions outside of football. There's no sorority, no fraternity. You're here to get your education and play football and make it to The League. That's what this place is all about. You're going to be coached by the best coaches in the nation who have been everywhere from the NFL and now back here. There's really nothing about this place that's a turnoff.

“A school that's all about football and the whole community is about football and their great education, which is everything Notre Dame has. The life after football here is very important. You only average a certain amount of years, even if you make it to the NFL. The average amount is three and a half years, so if you have a big-time career in the NFL, you get out by about 30 years old, what are you going to do for the rest of your life then? And that's where Notre Dame really carries on.”

Grubbs had met some of the visitors before, but not all.

“It was great for me to be able to tell them about the history of this place and everything about this place and things that they didn't know and questions that they had,” he said.

Grubbs didn’t need the visit to learn more about Notre Dame for himself.

“Just going from family in Orlando to family in Notre Dame in South Bend, so just family to family here. There's nothing that I don't like about this place. I love this place, I love to be here and I can't wait to get here in January.”
