2026 WR Target Brody Keefe Hoping For Notre Dame Return
Brody Keefe visited Notre Dame for a game a year ago, but the 2026 North Carolina receiver arrived a little late, which is one reason why he’s hoping to return to South Bend for the Irish’s game against Florida State next month.
“I've been talking it over with my mom and we're figuring out what we can make work,” Keefe tells Irish Sports Daily.
“I got there a little late and so I really went just straight from the cookout thing to the game, so maybe just seeing a little more of Notre Dame.”
This trip would also be different since the 6-foot-3, 191-pounder would visit as an offered-prospect, having received a scholarship to Notre Dame during this past March’s Pot of Gold Day push.
The communication with the Irish ever since has been “really good,” according to Keefe.
“They've done a good job at staying in contact with me and texting me about their season, asking about mine and stuff like that,” he says.
Most of his communication has been with Irish receivers coach Mike Brown.
“Me and him are probably staying in contact the most, yeah, Coach Brown,” says Keefe.
“He seems like a really great guy and a good coach. I haven't been able to see him much as a coach, but from seeing how his players are playing and stuff like that, he looks like a good coach too. But he's just a really good person.”
Keefe’s offer sheet also includes schools like North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Michigan and Ohio State among several others.
Still, the Myers Park star hasn’t hit the road much this fall.
“I was just at Tennessee this past weekend and I went to South Carolina,” he says. “But I tried to dial it back a little bit on the amount of games, trying to focus on our season in high school.”
Keefe was certainly impressed with the Volunteers’ win over Alabama this past weekend.
“It was crazy,” he says. “That was one of the craziest atmospheres for sure.”
The upcoming return to Notre Dame could be a crucial visit for the Irish as Keefe is likely to enter the final stages of the process within a couple months.
“I've been brainstorming,” he says. “I'll probably come out with a top five or six, something like that in December or January.
“I'll take my officials when I narrow down my schools and then hopefully commit right before the season starts; hopefully in summer, July maybe.”
