More Jr. Day Updates
Caught up with a few more of South Bend's top visitors from the weekend. 2027 Louisiana offensive lineman Albert Simien made it back to Notre Dame this weekend and continues to trend toward taking an official visit to South Bend."It went great," Simien said. The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder spent a good amount of time around other offensive line targets and commits, which stood out.Simien also got a deeper look at offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and how he approaches development."It's more of a teaching aspect than just spitting football out at you," he said. "He'll give you a why to the reason you're doing a certain drill or you're taking a certain step."That approach, combined with Rudolph's personality, continues to resonate. He also spent time with head coach Marcus Freeman, whose message encouraging Simien to find his "why" stood out.The visit also checked boxes off the field, particularly with Notre Dame's academic and spiritual components. The next step for Simien will be working toward an official visit. He hasn't locked in any officials, but seems set on taking one to ND and isn't sure of any others at this point, which is encouraging. Simien is set to visit LSU next and Texas A&M shortly after.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
