Notre Dame football Brian Kelly spoke following Saturday’s practice.
 
On linebacker Paul Moala:
“Moala had surgery on his thumb. He had a tendon injury and we reattached that tendon. He should be able to start practicing on Tuesday or Wednesday.”

On receiver Michael Young Jr.:
“Landed on his shoulder. I didn’t get further information on him. They had him back here for evaluation.
