After losing to Penn State last week, Jim Harbaugh is now 43-16 (.729 winning percentage) since returning to Michigan to run their program. It was almost universally seen as a home run hire at the time and when you consider where the program was when he took it over, his time there could be viewed as a success.

But no one is comparing Harbaugh to Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke. It was a given that he was going to be more successful than those two coaches.
