Virginia Tech Visit List Growing
None of the recruiting weekends for the rest of the year will match the quality of Notre Dame’s home game against USC earlier this month, but the Irish will continue to bring in top talent, especially in the 2021 and 2022 classes as they round out their home schedule.
The list for Saturday’s home game against Virginia Tech continues to grow and will continue doing so in the days to come.
We’d already heard from multiple visitors leading up this weekend and if you missed any of those stories, you can check them out below.

Following his official visit for the USC game a couple weeks ago, Isaiah Pryor’s father told us the transfer safety target from Ohio State was eyeing a return for this game and we’ve yet to hear otherwise. As we’ve maintained since the previous visit, it’s becoming increasingly likely that Pryor ends up at Notre Dame.
Last week, Freeman confirmed that top 2021 offensive lineman Wyatt Milum will be in town as well. Milum is one of the Irish’s top lineman prospects for the 2021 cycle and he’s already made several other visits this fall to places like Penn State, Clemson and Georgia among others. This will be a key visit for Notre Dame to get an idea where it stands.
We’ve since added a few more visitors; 2021 wide receiver Andrel Anthony Jr., 2022 quarterback Nicco Marchiol, 2021 wide receiver Reece Jesse and 2021 cornerback Kamren Blanton.
As ISD’s Matt Freeman reported when Anthony announced his weekend plans on Twitter, this will be the Michigan native’s third trip to an Irish game already this fall. He was at both the New Mexico and USC games earlier. He received an offer from Notre Dame shortly after his stop for the New Mexico game and said he “could definitely see” himself playing for the Irish. He also has offers from schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and Boston College. He’d say he was taking his fall visits on a week-by-week basis and that approach keeps him returning to South Bend.
Marchiol already has the look of one of the top quarterback prospects in the Class of 2022. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder from Aurora, Colo., doesn’t just have early offers from the in-state schools, he also has offers from Georgia, Michigan, Kentucky, Utah and Mike Leach up in Washington State. With commitments at the position in the 2020 and 2021 classes already, the Irish have been evaluating 2022 quarterbacks like this southpaw signal-caller for a while now.
Jesse is a Kentucky wideout with early Power Five offers from Kentucky, Missouri, Purdue, Washington State and West Virginia.
Blanton is a California prospect with offers from Arizona State and Utah State who camped in South Bend back in the summer.
