Zach Richards‍ appreciated the hospitality he felt during his visit to Notre Dame a couple weeks back.

“It went really well,” the 2021 Indiana offensive lineman said. “I loved it.

“The people just felt very welcoming. The academics felt great. Overall, it was just fantastic.”

The Mooresville High School standout also enjoyed watching the Irish beat Boston College 40-7 in the home finale for the 2019 season.

“It was a good game,” the 6-foot-4, 290-pounder said. “Boston College is obviously no joke and both sides played really well.”

Last month, Richards landed his first Division-I scholarship offer from in-state Purdue.

While in South Bend, he was able to have a brief conversation with Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn.

“He just introduced himself and talked about what the game means to Notre Dame and the history of it,” Richards said of Quinn.

“He seems like a good guy and definitely someone I would be willing to work with.”

Richards isn’t sure what’s next for him and the Irish.

“I’m just going to wait, see if I get another invite or something.”

He headed to Purdue for a visit this past weekend.
