Notre Dame QB Commit Steve Angeli Enjoys Elite 11 Experience

Steve Angeli‍ had the opportunity to compete against some of the top signal-callers in the Northeast at the Elite 11 Philadelphia Regionals on Sunday and the 2022 Notre Dame quarterback commit is confident in his showing.

“I felt like I was the best guy there in my opinion,” said Angeli.

The Elite 11 staff didn’t hand out any invites to the Elite 11 Finals, which is set to take place later this summer, but Angeli enjoyed the outing.

“I thought it was a great experience to be able to compete with some of the best guys on the East Coast,” he said.

“The coaching was great. I picked up a lot of stuff from some of the top quarterback coaches around the country; just everything that they had to give you, just kind of being a sponge and soaking it all up.”

The New Jersey native was grateful for the opportunity to compete against other top talent.

“You see where you're at and I think that you see who's going to maintain their best,” he said. “When you get on the field and throw, you versus the other guy, you're going to compete and battle it out.”

The next stop for the Bergen Catholic High School star will be the Under Armour Regional in Baltimore next Sunday.

“It's a chance to play in the Under Armour All-American game, that's been a goal of mine, to play in one of those games and it's just an opportunity to go compete and try and earn one of those invites,” he said.

Another stop that is set in stone on Angeli’s itinerary is an official visit to Notre Dame on June 18th.

“I think it's going to be great,” he said.

“Well, more than great, it's going to be amazing for me to finally be able to meet the coaching staff in person and finally be able to get inside of facilities and see everything and spend time with my family and the coaches there and also be able to spend time with some future teammates and big-time recruits and just have a great weekend.”
