Notre Dame's Link Jarrett Named ACC Coach of the Year

Notre Dame head skipper Link Jarrett got some good news on Monday morning.

Jarrett was named ACC Coach of the Year as the Irish enter the ACC Baseball Championship as the No. 1 seed.

Notre Dame finished the regular season with its best finish since joining the ACC and won the first ACC division title in school history as the Irish finished 29-10 overall and 25-10 in the ACC.

The 25 wins in conference play ties the school record as Notre Dame won 25 in 1990 as part of the Mid-Western Collegiate Conference.

Notre Dame led the nation with just 21 errors in 39 games, but it's also incredible that Jarrett's squad has not lost back-to-back games during his tenure in South Bend.

Jarrett is the first Notre Dame baseball coach to win coach of the year since Paul Mainieri won in 2001.

The Irish will begin the ACC Baseball Championship on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET against Virginia Tech and then finish pool play on Friday at 11:00 a.m. ET against Virginia.
