2023 OL Dylan Senda Confident In Notre Dame Opportunity

It’s obvious Dylan Senda‍ is motivated.

That’s what led the 2023 Michigan offensive lineman to reach out to Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn and what the 6-foot-5, 272-pounder plans on displaying during his current summer camp schedule.

After camping at West Virginia on Tuesday, the Divine Child High School standout is camping at Wisconsin on Thursday before heading to South Bend for Sunday’s Irish Invasion.

“I sent Coach Quinn a workout video I did in early-April and he replied back to me,” Senda says of the initial contact with the Irish. “We have had a scheduled call once a week since.

“He wants me to come to work out for him and Notre Dame is a school I am really interested in.”

Senda already has over a dozen offers from schools like Michigan State, Miami, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Kentucky among others.

He’s looking to use the next several weeks to impress additional schools, including Notre Dame.

“My main objective is to show the coaching staff that I am a mature young man that is motivated and determined to be the best I can be on and off the field,” Senda says.

“I changed up my entire training program about 18 months ago and I have made huge strides. I want to show Coach Quinn that I am a polished offensive lineman and have great testing measurables for my age and position.”

He’s also going to be using the trip to South Bend as his own learning experience.

“I want to learn as much as I can when I visit Notre Dame,” he says. “I have done a lot of research on my own online and learned a lot from my calls with Coach Quinn.

“I am just excited to visit and see everything in person. Notre Dame's national reputation is arguably the best in the country of any college.”

After Notre Dame, Senda will hit Michigan State, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, Oklahoma and Alabama in June before heading back out at the end of July for camps at Penn State and Michigan.

“I don't have a timeline for committing,” he says. “It is still early in the process. I hope to see where I stand this summer with all the college camps I am attending.

“Once the camps are over in July, my parents and I will sit down and see where we are at with everyone.”

He does have an idea of what he’s looking for in a program.

“I just want to feel comfortable with the coaching staff and go somewhere where I am really wanted. Things will be more clear at the end of the month once I visit everyone for the first time.”
