Recruitment Rundown
Raridon, whose father Scott played for the Irish, was patient in waiting for Notre Dame to offer him and that patience paid off. The Irish extended an offer in February. He visited in April and shortly afterward, he committed to Notre Dame over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Michigan State, Northwestern, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida State among many others.
Valley HC Gary Swenson
“Everybody has such a premium on length right now. He's a legit 6-6 and I'm not sure he's done growing. I think anybody that sees any of the footage of him playing basketball is impressed because he's very athletic. I'm sure he could have a future in collegiate basketball if he wanted it. I'm not sure what level, but he could play.”
“He has a lot of respect on our team. They respect his ability. He's pretty easy-going. No huge ego...He's a good kid, no character issues, good worker in the weight room.”
ISD Expert Jamie Uyeyama
Raridon looks like a top-100 level prospect to me. He has to fill out that long frame, but the way he moves after the catch and his body control is unique at his height. If he can keep that short-area quickness after putting on the weight, he’s going to be a nightmare matchup for a lot of teams.
I had him as a 90 and moved him up to 93. He isn’t getting the same level of love that other tight ends they’ve brought in recently have, but he should be.
Favorite ISD Quote
”The tight end success is better than anyone else. Ever since ‘05, every tight end has been drafted. The degree at Notre Dame is just as good as Ivy League, so I really can’t go wrong with that decision. It’s also been a dream school of mine ever since I can remember, so I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else.”
