Recruitment Rundown
This one came together quickly just as Craig was really starting to blow up. He camped in South Bend in June and later that month, he learned he'd received an offer from the Irish and was invited back for an official visit that weekend. Ohio State was coming on strong at the time as well and was trying to get a return trip of its own after the Irish.
But Craig committed to Notre Dame shortly after arriving, shutting down his recruitment for good.

“I think they're going to see a kid that is very athletic. They're going to see a kid that's going to work hard every day. Not only in the classroom, the community, but also the football field. He's going to be a kid that does it the right way.
“I think what they're also going to see is a kid who develops tremendously over the next four years due to his work ethic and due to his frame and different things like that. I think he still has a lot of potential that's untapped. So I think they'll see a kid who is going to continue to grow, continue to get better every year and also a kid who will hopefully help the Irish win some games down the road.”

I think we might be talking about Craig as one of the most underrated players in the class in a few years time. I think he has position versatility and his athleticism continues to impress me. I bumped him up to a 91.
I love Craig as an athlete and the fact the staff was able to evaluate him in person. I would have had more questions about his size, but he was up to 280 pounds heading into his senior season.
He reminds me a lot of Jarrett Patterson with his feet, which is part of the reason why projecting him to play center makes sense.

“They provide an elite education, the exceptional physical development I was looking for. The spiritual development is also very important to me.”
