2024 TE Jack Larsen Fired Up About Notre Dame Offer

Jack Larsen‍ has been on Notre Dame’s board for some time now and last week, the Irish pulled the trigger, offering the 2024 North Carolina tight end as part of their Pot of Gold recruiting push.

“I was talking with Coach (Gerad) Parker and Coach (Tommy) Rees and they told me,” said Larsen, noting he actually learned the news the night before St. Patrick’s Day.

“They said they've been through the whole checklist of stuff that they're looking for before they offer. I kind of passed all those tests. They like my game, like everything about me and they wanted to offer me. It was really special.”

The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder added Notre Dame to a list that already included schools like North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and Tennessee among others.

The Notre Dame offer is extremely intriguing to Larsen, who has already made a couple visits to South Bend.

“I've been in Catholic school my whole life, so going to a Catholic school would be really, really huge,” he told ISD.

“Obviously, the education speaks for itself and then just a great football program. It's definitely one of the top ones in the country.”

Larsen has enjoyed getting to know Parker, Notre Dame’s new tight ends coach .

“It's been good,” said Larsen. “I'm looking forward to furthering our relationship, but he is great guy, seems like a great coach. He has a lot of experience, so I'm excited.”

He’s planning to be back in South Bend in the coming months.

“I'm probably going to make it up during the summer,” Larsen said. “It might be tough to make it there over spring break, but definitely in the summer.”

He is looking at hitting some East Coast schools in the coming weeks.

“I'll be at Maryland. I'll be at Carolina. I think I'm going to Duke. I'll be at (NC) State and I think Wake (Forest), so some of the local ones for spring break and then make some of my longer trips over the summer.”
