Emerging 2028 LB Liam Conlon Visiting Notre Dame
It’s early, but Liam Conlon has already has multiple Power-4 offers and an interesting connection to Notre Dame, which has led to the 2028 Massachusetts linebacker setting up a spring visit to South Bend.
“I work out with Jonas Gray,” Conlon tells Irish Sports Daily. “He's a Notre Dame alum, he got drafted to the NFL, played for the Patriots.
“He said he was talking with the coaches at Notre Dame and he showed them my film and he said that they would love to have me down this spring.”
So, the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder will make his way to campus for a spring practice next month.
“I'm really excited,” he says. “Notre Dame's definitely one of my top schools and I'd love to get down on campus.
“The winning tradition is great, how competitive they are every year. I like to win and it's also a religious school, which is great, and it's a Catholic school, it's very important to me.”
The Catholic Memorial standout is excited to learn more about the program.
“Really building relationships with the coaches and seeing all the tradition and how they work at practice and intensity levels,” he says. “All that stuff is really important to me.”
Conlon picked up his first offer, from Syracuse, in December. Boston College followed a day later. North Carolina and Wake Forest extended offers at the end of January.
“It feels great,” he says of the early offers. “I work hard and it feels good that my work is being paid off and it's showing and I'm just hungry for more and that's all. I just want to improve.”
Conlon has a couple other spring visits in mind as well.
“I'm going to be at Rutgers, I'm pretty sure, I just haven't planned the date yet,” he says. “I'm also pretty sure I'm going to be at Maryland.”
The Irish seem to offer some of the things that will matter most when it comes to making a choice in the end.
“Religion is obviously extremely important to me, but I like to win and Notre Dame is a great winning team and they're really competitive and that's just really important to me.”
