Cam Williams‍ continues to pile up the scholarship offers.

The 2024 Illinois wide receiver doesn’t have an offer from Notre Dame yet, but there’s enough interest between the two sides that he’ll be in South Bend for a visit this weekend.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder landed an offer from Michigan this past weekend after an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor. His offer sheet also includes schools like Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Purdue and Syracuse among others.

“Cam is incredibly athletic and the most explosive player I have coached,” Glenbard South High School head coach Ryan Crissey says.

“In terms of athletic comparison, he reminds me of Laquon Treadwell.  He also has fantastic body control. Cam has ridiculous hands.”

Crissey understands the potential fit for Williams in South Bend.

“Cam has a strong interest in ND,” the coach says. “His plan is to stay in the Midwest.”

Crissey describes Williams, who also plays basketball and runs track, as a dedicated teammate.

“Cam approaches his offseason workouts with intensity and focus,” he says. “He is a three-sport athlete. He is very well-liked by his teammates and classmates. Cam had a very positive and contagious personality.”

Crissey sees Williams’ game taking off even further as he’s able to continue diving into the details of understanding what defenses are trying to do.

“He had a great sophomore year because of his athleticism, and at some point, he needs to understand/learn the finer points of the game.”
