On new defensive line coach Al Washington:
"It's all the same compared to last year, but obviously it's a different pace. Coach Washington is about hitting fast and hard all the time. Just run to the ball, make sure you finish, it's the same principles, but obviously, Coach Washington has a different way of doing things. We all love coach Washington. We love what he does and we love what he's coaching us to do so. So, we'll see."
On development this spring:
"In terms of my game, obviously coach Washington's pushing me. He sees me for my size and that's in a good way. It should fire me up. I'm excited for the season, but it's the same thing as last year. I'm trying to work on my get off, I gotta work on pass-rush and everything like that. There is always room to improve on everything."
On Al Golden’s defense:
"Golden's scheme is a little bit more put together I would say. There's more parts to it. There's more plays. Every movement has a saying, has a call, has an alert or something. When we all eventually click and we already have, but obviously a lot of stuff, so when we all get this 100%, we're gonna be unstoppable."
On early enrollees and young defensive linemen:
"The freshmen coming in, obviously they have a lot to learn, but there's a lot of potential. Especially Tyson Ford. Tyson comes off the ball extremely fast. He's working hard. Same with Aiden Gobaira. Aiden has speed that I don't think I've seen in a freshman in a while. Including the sophomores too, just the underclassmen, especially Gabriel Rubio. He's exponentially grown since last year. I'm really excited to see what happens this year for him."
