Film Don't Lie | Jaden Greathouse
The pieces keep coming together for Notre Dame on the offensive side of the ball. They just landed a significant piece of their 2023 recruiting puzzle with a commitment from Jaden Greathouse.
A multi-sport athlete with awesome production (20 touchdowns as a junior) against really good competition, Greathouse has the potential be a future go-to target for Notre Dame.

ISD Grade: 93 (4-star)
National Average Grade: 92.9 (4-star)
What he does best:
The more I watched Greathouse, the more I liked him as a prospect. He’s a big body who can play big by winning contested catches.
He displays impressive body control and he has a large catch radius.
I like big receivers who also show smaller receiver traits as well. That’s what Greathouse does as a route runner. He can sink his hips and is pretty smooth out of his breaks and he has a good understanding of how to get defensive backs to open up to gain separation.
He’s also not someone who is going to settle on any catch. He wants to create big plays and he’s strong enough to break through arm tackles. He’ll do damage if he gets some space.
What he needs to improve:
He’s not the most explosive laterally and appears to have more build up speed than initial twitch. He’ll have to continue to advance his game as a route runner unless we see more twitch going forward.
That’s the thing keeping him from making that jump to a top-10 receiver in this class in my mind.
What’s his ceiling?
I think he has the potential to be a number one receiver for Notre Dame either on the boundary or working as a big slot.
The production he has had against strong competition in Texas is undeniable and the physical tools set a high floor for him. It’s the ball skills and body control that can elevate him to be a go-to target.
He’s not quite as freakish as Chase Claypool with his size, but the ability to high point the football, win contested catches, willingness to block, and the strength after the catch are reminiscent of Claypool to me. The skill set is similar even though Greathouse is more polished than Claypool was.
Claypool got faster in college and we’ll see if the same happens with Greathouse.
