Notre Dame can’t expect to win many games where they average 4.6 yards per play and only throw the ball more than 10-yards down the field three times. They can’t expect to win when they have this many false starts or begin a game with four three-and-outs and a fumbled snap on the first five drives of the game.

In so many ways, to win by doing what they did on offense is an anomaly.

That’s all true, but how they finished the game is something they can build on going forward.
