2025 ATH Jovan Clark Recaps Recent Notre Dame Visit
It may be early, but Jovan Clark has already grabbed the attention of several college programs across the country.
The 2025 Illinois athlete already has 10 scholarship offers from schools like Syracuse, Boston College and Maryland among others.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Clark plays running back and linebacker for Morgan Park High School in Chicago and could play a variety of positions in college.
He was in South Bend last weekend for the Irish’s win over UNLV.
“That was my first time really being at Notre Dame since I was 10,” Clark told ISD. “The campus was big and the fans made it even better. They were all supporting. I just love how they had they walked in through the fans. It was like a big family. The campus was great. The Notre Dame atmosphere was just amazing. I loved the fans and the atmosphere.”
“I got to meet with Coach Freeman and talk with him one-on-one. It was just great overall. All of the coaches and recruiters knew me and everything about me.”
Talking with Freeman was one of the highlights of the trip.
“He was asking how I did (Friday night), how we’re looking going into the playoffs,” Clark recalled. “He was saying he’d watched my film and could see me playing for them in the future.”
Clark also had the opportunity to speak with Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
He also enjoyed getting to see the Irish beat UNLV 44-21.
“I loved the game,” said Clark. “I love their defense. They know how to move the ball on offense. They get their running backs involved. They rotate a lot of backs. I love how they involve them in the offense.”
Clark expects to make trips to Minnesota and Syracuse in the coming weeks and said he’ll “definitely” keep in touch with Notre Dame coaches.
“They want to keep evaluating me. They love my film. They just want to see my grades, so they said they want me to come back in January and that they’ll be coming back to my school too.”
