2024 LB Cameron Lindsey Sees "Different" Atmosphere At Notre Dame

Cameron Lindsey‍ has been to Happy Valley multiple times and was in South Bend earlier this month for Notre Dame’s game against Clemson.

“I enjoyed my time,” the 2024 Pennsylvania linebacker told Irish Sports Daily. “It was a way different experience than any other game I've been to.

“Just the atmosphere. It's a lot different from maybe a Penn State. The wind was definitely something, a factor in the game, but campus was definitely huge when we were walking around, going from the facility to the stadium and then the march was definitely something I never seen before. I enjoyed that too.

The Aliquippa High School standout has early offers from schools like Penn State, Syracuse, West Virginia and Cincinnati among others.

He was impressed with the Irish’s 35-14 dismantling of #4 Clemson.

“It was a big win,” Lindsey said. “I actually got to go on the field with the students and stuff too after, so that was super fun.

“It was a defensive game. Their defense definitely held it down. They couldn't really do much offensively until super late in the game, but for the most part, the offense was just running the ball the whole game up and down the field. Defensively, their corners were shutting down and Clemson really couldn't connect on offense.”

The staffers Lindsey encountered throughout the trip hit a consistent tone.

“This is definitely the place you want to be,” Lindsey said of their message. “They were telling me about the stadium and stuff outside of football. That was something that they preached.”

Lindsey left with positive vibes about the Irish and is hoping to return in the future.

“I've got good feelings for Notre Dame. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Hopefully, I could come back up soon for Junior Day or anything like that, but it was definitely something I enjoyed.”
