Elite 2024 DL Target Justin Scott Previews Notre Dame Return

Less than two weeks before he makes his college announcement, Justin Scott‍ will make one more visit to Notre Dame.

The elite 2024 Illinois defensive lineman confirmed to Irish Sports Daily that he plans to return to South Bend on Sunday.

“Just to see the campus again, build relationships and just for them to build relationships with my parents too,” Scott told ISD.

Earlier this month, Scott released a Top 8 of Notre Dame, Alabama, Colorado, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and USC. Less than a week later, Scott announced that he would be making his college commitment public on Jan. 31st.

“I really have everything a high-schooler could ask for,” the St. Ignatius Prep star told ISD. “I’m real grateful for that. I just didn’t see me prolonging it any longer."

Scott has been high on the Irish from the start of the process and they’ve seemed to make a surge recently behind the efforts of defensive line coach Al Washington.

“He’s been recruiting me really hard,” Scott said of Washington. “I can tell if I do end up choosing ND that it feels just like home.”

He’s looking forward to having the recruiting process behind him.

“I’ll be pretty excited. The texts and calls can get annoying.”
