2025 LB Christian Jones Talks Notre Dame Offer
Christian Jones was pretty fired up to learn he’d been offered a scholarship to Notre Dame in March.
“I mean, not that many people get the opportunity to get that offer, so I'm very blessed,” he said. “I was excited about it.”
The 2025 Nebraska linebacker announced the offer as part of the Irish’s St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold roll out.
“I know it's a very rich, traditional school,” the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “I know it's a very prestigious school, and, I just know what to do with the campus as well.”
Jones has been in contact with Notre Dame defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Al Golden over the past month or so.
“I like him,” the Westside High School standout said of Golden. “He's got good energy from off the phone and I like his personality.”
Jones’ offer sheet also includes schools like Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, USC and Stanford among others.
He’s hoping to get to South Bend for a spring practice, but isn’t sure when yet.
“It's tough with the track schedule,” he said. “I will for sure try to go over to campus.”
Jones has checked out Nebraska because it’s so close, but hasn’t hit the road much.
“As of right now, I haven't been (many places) yet,” he said. “Because of track it's hard.
“But I'm going to try to visit Notre Dame, maybe Stanford, USC and Missouri.”
Jones has a pretty good idea of what he’s looking for in a college.
“I would say the coaches and whatever the program's going to push me to be the best man and player.”
