2025 CB Devin Williams Set To See Notre Dame

Devin Williams‍ was thrilled to receive an offer from Notre Dame back in March.

"It's crazy because you don't see a lot of people, especially from my area getting Notre Dame offers,” the 2025 Georgia cornerback said. “It was just unique and crazy, and I was pretty excited about it."

Williams found out about the offer after being contacted by Dre Brown, who introduced himself and let him know about the offer.

He also spoke with cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens on the phone, who confirmed the offer.

Mickens has remained in touch.

"I love Coach Mickens,” Williams said. “He connects with our generation pretty well and he's just a great, great guy and a good guy to know."

Mickens stopped by Buford High School to check in on Williams a couple weeks ago, when the Evaluation Period opened.

Williams is now set to visit Notre Dame in late-June.

"I'd definitely like to see how the players bond with each other,” he said. “I definitely want to see how the coaches bond with the players also. And I'd definitely like to see the facilities, campus, and just football.”

Williams has been to several other schools, including Florida State, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, but he's interested in visiting more schools in the future.

Williams has offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, Duke, Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, and others.

He has an idea of what he’s looking for in a college.

"Just the place I can feel most comfortable at when I get along with the players, like really well,” he said. “And I feel like coaches care about me and take me in the best. Also, where I can play on the field possibly as a freshman."

Williams understands the Irish can put him in position to be successful beyond his playing days.

"They definitely can set you up for a good future with the academic program."
