Notre Dame Lands Top 2025 LHP Caden Crowell
2025 Valparaiso (Ind.) LHP Caden Crowell decommitted from Louisville on August 1st and it didn’t take long for him to find his future home.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder has committed to Notre Dame following an official visit earlier this month and a trip to Tennessee. LSU was also involved in Crowell’s recruitment.
“I am extremely excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame,” Crowell said in a statement. “I would like to thank God for this opportunity and blessing as well as my parents, family and friends for always supporting me along the way. I’d like to thank my travel ball coaches and high school for always encouraging me to play at the next level. Lastly, I would like to thank the coaches at the University of Notre Dame for giving me this opportunity.”
Crowell will bring a four-pitch mix to Shawn Stiffler’s club, including a fastball in the low 90s as he enters his junior season. The in-state product also throws a changeup, curveball and slider.
The in-state star also plays for the Indiana Bulls organization, which has produced recent Notre Dame players Drayk Bowen, Jayce Lee and RJ Cromartie.
Notre Dame now has six arms committed in the class and the Irish aren’t done yet as the program will host four 2025 pitchers for unofficial visits this weekend, including LHP Ethan Felling and LHP Bobby Crane.
