2018 Iowa DE Recaps ND Visit

John Waggoner had been to Notre Dame before, but on Friday, the lifelong Irish fan got to see what South Bend was like a recruit.

The 2018 Iowa defensive end was impressed.

“I got to see a lot of the campus and talk to Coach Mike Elko and Coach (Mike) Elston and I also briefly met with Coach (Brian) Kelly after practice,” the West Des Moines native said. “He introduced himself quickly after practice. He said hello and talked to us for a little bit.

“It was a good visit.
