2025 OL Jack Lange Updates Recruitment, Talks Notre Dame & More
Now that he has trimmed his list to six schools, Jack Lange is ready to start taking the final steps of the recruiting process.
Last month, the 2025 Missouri offensive lineman announced he’d be focusing his attention on Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan and Ole Miss moving forward.
“They've all been recruiting me for a long time,” Lange says of the schools that made the cut. “I have good relationships with all of them and all their staffs. I just know the most about those schools and my gut is telling me that those schools are the ones that I need to keep pursuing.”
He’ll begin hitting the road later this week with a trip to Missouri, where he’ll return the following week. Then, he’ll hit Ole Miss, Nebraska and Michigan before the month is out. He’ll be at Notre Dame on April 13th before heading to Wisconsin the following week and back to Nebraska after that.
Lange has been high on the Irish for a while now and they made an extremely strong impression when he visited South Bend for a Junior Day in January. He’s looking forward to getting back next month.
“I definitely just want to see a practice and how the guys respond to Coach (Joe) Rudolph and just evaluate how he coaches and how big of a role does the team see him on the team,” Lange says. “Also, I just want to talk to the players on the team and just get insights of what they think and just see how it really is.
“The main thing I'm looking to see is Notre Dame - and just with all of these schools - is just what is it like just every day at practice? I want to go see dorms, academic facilities and a little bit of campus. I haven't seen that much of Notre Dame's campus from the times that I've been there. I definitely would just want to go walk around and see what everything's like and just run about everything, just more as a whole.”
Notre Dame currently has three offensive linemen committed in Will Black, Owen Strebig and Matty Augustine, but has remained in steady contact with Rudolph and head coach Marcus Freeman, so he has no worries about numbers at this point.
“Coach Rudolph told me he'll give me a call if it ever gets to that and I haven't gotten that call yet,” says Lange. “I don't think numbers are going to be an issue.
“They keep saying that if they get me, then that'll probably be one of the better o-line classes they've had in recent years. They would love to have me. They think that they could develop me really well at Notre Dame.”
Lange has had communication with all three current commits as well, especially Strebig.
“If I have questions about Notre Dame, I ask Owen,” says Lange. I just text him and he answers pretty quick. They're all great guys.”
Lange may have a good idea where he’s going by the end of April, but probably won’t rush a final decision before he’s 100 percent.
“I think I'm going to know where I'm going to want to go after spring ball. But I'm going to choose a couple of official visits to go on just to really, really make sure. And then I think I'm going to commit sometime in July.”
