Cincere Johnson‍ has four early offers, but the 2026 Ohio linebacker/edge rusher’s offer sheet is sure to grow.

“It is wonderful,” the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder says. “I'm just blessed. You've got to give glory to God, just keep working. It's all been a blessing.”

Johnson currently has offers from Kentucky, Cincinnati, Toledo and Central Michigan. He’s also receiving interest from several other top programs, including Notre Dame, where he’ll be visiting next week.

“It started after the season,” the Glenville High School standout says. “I got in contact with the Notre Dame coaches, started to build a relationship with them and they sent me the spring schedule and we started to build a relationship and then it went from there and now we're visiting the 20th.

“They've just been saying they want me to come down, enjoy the time, see the team, see the brotherhood, and just see the Irish overall and possibly one day I can play there.”

Johnson has been to multiple camps in South Bend and says, “I love the Irish.”

“Notre Dame has always been like a dream school for me,” he continues. “It's always been something that I wanted. It's a great football organization. I know it's a great school. I've visited a couple times for football.

“It's always been somewhere that I wanted to go, it's somewhere that's been a place on my mind.”

Johnson is looking forward to getting a closer look at the school and the program when he visits next Wednesday.

“This time, I'll look for everything; how the school goes, how the coaches go, how the coaches act with the kids, how the athletes act with each other, the brotherhood and the compassion they have for one another,” he says.

In addition to Notre Dame, Johnson has trips locked in this month for Ohio State, Louisville and Michigan State and he expects to get to Toledo as well.

“The biggest factors for me is just if it's more than football. The school, the coaches, because I'm going to be down there for school to play football and get my education. I feel like it has to be more than football. We can connect with each other on the football field, but we can also go off the football field and just talk and expand off the field, but still come together and be one on the football field.”
