A starter last fall, the 6-5 280 Autry played 466 snaps while primarily lining up as a 3-technique (outside shade of the guard) tackle. PFF credited him with 17 pressures. He had 19 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss and batted down two passes in 2023.
Autry attended Notre Dame High School (N.J.) and was a two-time varsity letterman. During his recruitment, Autry chose Columbia over Dartmouth and Rutgers during his recruitment.
Off the field, Autry majored in Computer Science while at Columbia. In high school, he was a National Merit scholar, Spanish National Honor Society and Honors Chemistry II Award recipient. Autry was also the President of Notre Dame’s Student Government.
The Irish certainly aren’t hurting for depth at the position, but adding another body to a group that will lose both Rylie Mills and Howard Cross after the 2024 season.
