2026 Notre Dame QB Target Noah Grubbs Continues Progression

Noah Grubbs‍ has been a national prospect since his freshman year of high school, but that hasn’t stopped the 2026 Florida quarterback from working diligently to improve his game.

Grubbs was excited to release highlights from a quartet of spring exhibitions that Lake Mary High School participated in recently.

The clips obviously display a physically talented quarterback, which is exactly why the 6-foot-5, 195-pounder had dozens of scholarship offers before trimming them down to a Top 10 last month of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Miami, Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Nebraska and UCF.

But Grubbs’ trainer, Baylin Trujillo of BTruQBTraining looks a little deeper to find improvements along with his ability to throw the football.

“I would say more than anything, just the command of everything and the offense, just getting the ball out really on time and being very accurate whether it's intermediate or down the field,” Trujillo says.

Trujillo has worked with Grubbs for years to polish him physically, but also on the mental part of the game so that Grubbs has a tremendous understanding of what is being throw at him.

At this point, Trujillo believes Grubbs has essentially mastered the high school level.

“Yeah, dude, this game is so easy for him,” says Trujillo. “He prepares that way.”

Trujillo says that’s his goal when training all of his quarterbacks, to make the sessions with him more difficult than what they’ll see from any opposing defense on a Friday night.

“If you're able to understand football from an IQ standpoint where know where you're throwing the ball before the snap even happens...just imagine if you know the answers to an answer sheet, the test is easy, right? It's the same thing with football.”

Trujillo says the game has “completely slowed down” for Grubbs over the past couple years, and that he’s been given the authority by his coaches to make decisions based on what he sees at the line.

“He's able to now check into protections and if he doesn't like a play, if he sees certain things that he likes and he's got the green light from his coaches to do anything really.

“He's so far advanced. It's crazy. “
