Notre Dame Hosting 'Megatwaun' For Key Visit This Weekend

As the Early Signing Period is less than a month away, Notre Dame will host one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the Marcus Freeman era as Florida State comes to South Bend on Saturday.

Notre Dame will host several top-of-the-board targets in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes, but one of the most important will be 2025 Monarch High School (Fla.) receiver Antwaun Parham‍.

The Fighting Irish staff has made a big-time time push over the last month for the 6-foot-4, 195-pounder and the Tulane commit is more than excited to get his first look at Notre Dame.

“I’m very excited to get up there,” Parham told ISD. “I’m not going to lie. I just want to see what it’s about so I know if I’ll flip or not.”

Parham is keeping the visit simple. He’s done his research and this trip will be all about how he fits into the program.

“I just want to see how I fit in with the school,” Parham said. “I already know it’s a great school, but I want to see how I fit.”

2025 Irish quarterback commit Blake Hebert won’t be in South Bend this weekend, but he has reached out to Parham and Notre Dame is expecting at least 15 commits to be on campus this weekend, which will give the freaky athlete a good feel for who he could be around over the next few years.

“I want to see if they can be people I can get along with and talk about football with when I’m up there,” Parham said of Notre Dame’s commits.

In addition to Freeman, Mike Brown and Chad Bowden have been very aggressive in this recruitment. Bowden did the background and evaluation on the Georgia native and Brown attended his game last weekend during Notre Dame’s bye week.

“The message has been they want me,” stated Parham. “They think I have great film. They want me to come up there and flip. I love Coach Chad. He’s very understanding and he’s easy to get along with.”

Parham recorded a vertical of over 30 inches and a broad jump of 114.8 this spring, but it was a highlight reel catch in week one that started the nickname Megatwaun.

“Our first game, I caught a one-handed pass on a slant,” Parham said. “After that game, everybody was calling me Megatwaun.”

And the move to Florida for his senior year has been a positive one. Parham has not only seen more attention on the recruiting trail, but he’s also developed his game mentally.

“The biggest growth has been understanding football more,” explained Parham. “When I was in Georgia, I played one year of varsity and that was my only year. Coming down here, it helped me learn more football and develop my game.”

As far as a final decision, Parham isn’t going to drag it out and will have a final decision sooner than later.

“I might give it a week,” said Parham. “I’ll decide then.”
