Less than a week after landing his offer from Notre Dame, Seneca Driver‍ made his way to South Bend for a spring practice on Saturday and the 2027 Kentucky tight end left impressed.

“It went really good,” the Boyle County standout told Irish Sports Daily afterward.

“I got a campus tour. I got to go into the players meetings, see what they do at practice. We went over to watch their practice and see how they practiced for the first time in pads. And, I got to talk to some coaches.”

The 6-foot-7, 225-pounder was impressed with campus.

“I thought it was beautiful,” he said. “I thought it was really nice.”

He also enjoyed the pre-practice meeting.

“It was really fast-learning,” he said. “They were going really fast, but you could catch onto it pretty easily.”

Driver also appreciated getting a chance to witness the Irish’s first full-padded practice of the spring.

“I liked it,” he said. “I liked how fast they moved and how there's no breaks and stuff.”

Driver also has offers from schools like Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, Penn State, Duke and Kentucky among several others.

While in South Bend, he was able to speak with head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Mike Denbrock and wide receivers coach Mike Brown.

Freeman made a positive impression.

“I thought he was a really good person who knows what he's talking about,” Driver said of Freeman. “He was just saying he was happy I'm there. He wants me back up for summer camps.”

Denbrock echoed those comments.

“He was saying he really likes me and just wants me to come up for camps and keep coming back,” said Driver.

Driver plans on doing that as well as some fall visits.

“The atmosphere of the games, I want to learn how that is in person,” he said.

He visits Kentucky on Monday and will be at Tennessee on Thursday.

He plans to trim his list sometime during the fall and Notre Dame put itself in a good position with this weekend’s visit.

“It definitely pushed past my expectations. It's really nice out there. Everybody's really kind.”
