As Notre Dame continues to simultaneously recruit and research quarterback prospects in the Class of 2027, the Irish will welcome Connecticut signal-caller Keegan Croucher‍ to campus on Saturday.

The Cheshire Academy standout currently has offers from schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Indiana and Ole Miss among others.

He’s been in contact with Irish offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli “quite a bit.”

“I'm building a relationship with them, which is awesome,” said Croucher. “They're just excited to get me up on campus.

“They really like the way that I play. They think I fit their style of play. I know Notre Dame's very selective with their QBs, so I think me being one of their top QBs that they're interested in is awesome.”

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder will arrive with a healthy appreciation for Notre Dame.

“Just the culture and the history that they built over there, obviously coming off a national championship run, is awesome,” he said. “I'm just excited to check out everything, talk with the coaches, see where I'd fit in their program and seeing what they do with me.”

Croucher made trips to Michigan and Nebraska at the end of March.

And, he’s scheduled to make trips to Minnesota, Ole Miss and Indiana later this month.

He isn’t quite sure when he’ll make a final decision.

“Possibly the summer, but I don't think it'll be the summer, I really don't know,” he said. “I'm not sure yet.

“There are definitely some schools that are up higher than others right now, but I'd definitely like to wait a little bit longer.”

And while it’s early Croucher has already identified some of the key factors in his final decision.

“The relationships I build with the coaches and the trust and how we connect,” he said. “That's definitely one because I'm not just going for football.

“This is my life, so it's got to feel like home; definitely a family culture and just have a home feeling. Then, how they develop me and make me into a player that I want to be. Development is key.”
