As the Spring Evaluation period comes to a close, Notre Dame saw multiple prospects trim down their offer lists to a final group. The Irish made the cut for most of their prospects, and that’s a positive sign after a month out on the recruiting trail.
2018 Taylor County (Ga.) running back Lyn-J Dixon released his Top 12 last week, and the Irish will compete with the best of the best for the four-star prospect. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Louisville, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech will be the 12 schools Dixon will look further into at this stage.
Lavonte Valentine is one of the fastest prospects in the country and the 2018 running back is down to seven schools. Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and USC will compete for the commitment of the Florida speedster.
2018 Christian Brothers College (Mo.) receiver Kamryn Babb (pictured) announced a Top 9 of Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and USC. The Buckeyes likely hold a small lead at this point, but it’s not so big it can’t be overcome.
McDonogh 35 (La.) receiver Lawrence Keys III is one of the most explosive receivers in the 2018 class and released a Top 13. The New Orleans native will pick between Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado State, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech, and UTSA. The four-star prospect is trying to get to South Bend this summer.
Another Texas native released a Top 10 last weekend. 2018 tight end Mustapha Muhammad is down to Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, and USC. We feel the four-star prospect is wide open and if he had to choose today, Michigan would be the likely destination. Muhammad is looking at getting to South Bend for Irish Invasion.
2018 Great Oak (Calif.) linebacker Jack Lamb is down to five schools and will head to Notre Dame this summer. The four-star prospect’s final group consists of Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon, UCLA, and Washington. It’s hard to say the Irish lead at this stage, but it wouldn’t surprise to see Notre Dame pull into the lead after a visit.
On the defensive side of the ball, 2018 Blair Academy (N.J.) defensive end Jayson Oweh got his Notre Dame offer recently and then came out with a Top 10. Georgia Tech, Harvard, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin will battle it out for the rising senior. Penn State holds the lead as Oweh has visited twice, but he will likely be in South Bend for Irish Invasion.
2018 Carthage (Texas) running back Keaontay Ingram committed to Texas and 2018 Traverse City (Mich.) offensive lineman Ryan Hayes committed to Michigan.
The last piece of notable information is 2018 North Caroline (Md.) defensive tackle Ja'mion Franklin moved up his decision date to June 6th.

Notre Dame was the first to offer 2018 St. Pius X (Texas) receiver Bryson Jackson over the winter, but many have jumped on the train for the speedster since that offer. Alabama, Arizona, Cincinnati, Miami, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oregon State, TCU, and Texas A&M make up the Top 12 for the four-star prospect.
