BREAKING: Brey Grabs Another
The 2018 Notre Dame men’s basketball class continues to grow with Dane Goodwin becoming the latest member on Wednesday night, when the Ohio shooting guard announced his commitment to Mike Brey and the Irish.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pounder from Upper Arlington High School had been committed to Ohio State, but decommitted from the Buckeyes shortly after Thad Matta stepped down as head coach.
He also had an offer from Villanova.
Goodwin joins Washington, D.C. point guard Prentiss Hubb and Pennsylvania shooting guard Robby Carmody to form an impressive backcourt grouping.
Goodwin averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds as a junior at Upper Arlington last season.
One source close to the situation said the Irish just landed "another darn good player who will be really good."
