2018 WR Lawrence Keys III Releases Top 6

2018 McDonogh 35 (La.) receiver Lawrence Keys III backed up his Notre Dame interest on Wednesday evening as he included the Irish in his Top 6. 

The four-star prospect is one of the most coveted receivers in the 2018 class, and he will choose from the Irish, Auburn, Houston, LSU, Nebraska, and TCU

LSU is the leader for the New Orleans native, but he’s not a complete lock to the Tigers at the moment. 

Keys will utilize his official visits to get a better feel for the programs he has yet to see, but also to dig into the educational opportunities available to him. The speedster is a member of the National Honor Society and Gold Honor Roll at McDonogh 35.

““He and I are going to make the decision, but we are going to see what the best fit is for him,” Keys’ mother, LaTanya Manning told Irish Sports Daily earlier this summer. “Lawrence likes teams that run the spread offense, and we’re looking to see if the school offers the majors he wants, which is Sports Medicine and Business. We are looking at the depth chart to see how many guys would be ahead of him.
 
“We are going to look at how many people graduate from the program too. We have our work cut out for us.”

As for a decision date, Keys is still on track to make his decision on National Signing Day. 

Keys recorded 975 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns in 2016.
